Our house is located in the wooded recreation park De Witte Wieven, on the north side of the Veluwe on the edge of the village Nunspeet. Part of the park is equipped for bungalows and another
part as a campsite. The natural and cozy forest park is equipped with a range of facilities. In summer, it is wonderful to cool off in the outdoor pool (unheated). A simple restaurant / snack bar is open in the season. In the off-season the restaurant is open
on weekends and throughout the week in high season. Here you can sit on a beautiful sunny terrace, while you have a nice view of the playground and the riding hall.
In summer, a beautiful, sun-heated outdoor pool. You can take your horse and store
it on the stables. The village of Nunspeet is about 3 kilometers away, the Zandenplas is 500 meters away and offers wonderful wild swimming in clear water. Furthermore many hiking and biking possibilities. Sports enthusiasts can rent mountain bikes in the
village and explore the beautiful nature with GPS.
Together with your horse on vacation in the Veluwe? In the riding school you can park your own horse about 250 meters from the cabin. From the riding school you can ride your own horse into the
forest. You can also take riding lessons or take a trip here. Small ponies are available as a hiking or cuddly pony. Children can rent a pony to ride or groom in the park under the supervision of an adult.
In the park there are no paved paths, the
woody character is preserved. Next to the swimming pool there is a table tennis table and a volleyball court for sports enthusiasts. Table tennis baths are provided for you in the cabins. You can make your stay as sporty as you like. From the park you are
on the hiking and biking trails (with crossings) of the Veluwe.
Village Nunspeet and further away.
In the immediate vicinity of the park there are numerous inviting hiking and biking trails. Within walking distance of the park is a beautiful
lake, the Zandenplas with clear water and a beautiful sandy beach. Great for little kids. A snack bar is also open in summer. Off-season fun for a walk around Zandenplas totaling about an hour's walk from the cottage.
About 3.5 km away is the center
of Nunspeet with its many shops, supermarkets and restaurants. The station is located in the center of the city center and can be reached by bus from the park. In Nunspeet the shops (including supermarkets) are closed on Sundays. Thursday is a particularly
extensive and cozy on the market square in the middle were, which has a strengthening effect on the entire area.
In addition, we would like to call the North Veluws Museum with changing exhibitions, the extensive tourist information (here is an
incredible amount of information preserved for all ages and interests of Nunspeet and the Veluwe) and visitors center Nunspeet, an educational center, in particular for children. Connected to the visitor center is
the outdoor center Nunspeet. Here you can organize for bikes / mountain bikes with GPS outdoor team activities rental 4weel on the Veluwe drives. Nunspeet also has a subtropical swimming pool De Brake with bowling alleys. Outside the summer season, the modern
cultural center Veluvine has a varied theater program (with performances of unknown and well-known names) and film programs. Nunspeet is located on the north side of the Veluwe. Unique location, because the edge lakes are nearby. The nearby village of Elburg
(9 km) is a fine example of a Dutch fishing village on the IJsselmeer. Take a city walk, you will find old Botter, city walls, museum and summer terraces.
Staverden, the smallest city in the Netherlands, is 15 kilometers away and is a nice outing for
those who love English gardens and high tea.
Epe, Elspeet and Vierhouten are naturally well-known Veluwe villages, which always have something to offer tourists. Everything on the bike path.
Attractions such as the Dolphinarium and Walibi are
a 20-minute drive away. And fifteen minutes away you can do a day of sauna at Zwaluwhoeve.
We recommend a visit to Giethoorn, also on behalf of previous guests, about 45 minutes. In a quarter of an hour you are
in Zwolle or Harderwijk, in three quarters of an hour in Utrecht and in Amsterdam in one hour. You can also easily visit these cities by train, in Nunspeet you can leave your car for free at the station.

The A28 is easily accessible. Zwolle is about 15 minutes by car, 20 to Amersfoort, 35 to Utrecht and an hour's drive from Amsterdam.
